Mrs. Andrew and Mrs. Chaney's 6th Grade Reading Class read the story Teammates by Peter Golenbock. The story was about Jackie Robinson and how he was not treated equally and was bullied by fans who threw tomatoes at him on the baseball field. They discussed how he was able to overcome the racial prejudices and become a great baseball player and leader. At the end of the story the class made a triarama to display Jackie as a baseball player and the stadium of fans.
